Deeply troubled cop Carter Shaw (Dylan McDermott) heads a team of specialized officers who go deep undercover for cases no one else will touch, even though their dangerous work leaves them with emotional scars that play havoc in their personal lives. Joining Carter in the hunt are criminal-turned-cop Jaimie (Nicki Aycox), ambivalent newlywed Ty (Omari Hardwick) and veteran Dean (Logan Marshall-Green), who plays a crook suspiciously well.
