Synopsis
Blending documentary and live lecture, filmmaker Sam Green narrates this compelling exploration of the utopian impulse and its often unsuccessful results set to the music of San Francisco musician Dave Cerf. The stories include a look at the history of Esperanto, hailed as the new universal language; a trip to the world's largest shopping mall in China, which has everything except customers; and a profile of an American radical in exile.
