Austin, Texas, is the setting for this teenage love story between Kristofer, a Russian immigrant hoping to make the varsity basketball team, and Sarah, the troubled girl across the street. Interested in drugs and little else, Sarah repeatedly rejects Kristofer's advances, but eventually his goodness wins out.
