Bickford Shmeckler (Patrick Fugit) has ideas that will change the world, recorded in a prized journal. When the book goes missing, Bickford scours the campus to get it back, bumping up against a beautiful coed (Olivia Wilde), a homeless lunatic (Matthew Lillard) and a fellow geek (John Cho) along the way.
