Cody Brewer (Colm Meaney), a down-on-his-luck Maine lobster fisherman, stumbles upon an odd species of green moss that he soon discovers has magical properties in this fantasy tale. When word about the supernatural, miracle-producing substance spreads throughout the town, Cody finds himself torn between using it to help his fellow neighbors in their time of need and putting it to work to repair his tenuous family life.
