Accused of brutally murdering his entire family, mountain man Joe Slaader (William Sanderson) is imprisoned in an asylum in this adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's classic horror tale. A young intern (Fountain Yount) at the asylum begins to believe that Slaader holds the key to stopping a powerful evil force. As more mysterious murders occur, the intern tries to work with Slaader to stop the bloodbath. Kurt Hargan, Rick Dial and Tom Savini co-star.
