Synopsis
Get an unconventional view of the Cold War from this documentary from director Jaak Kilmi, who reveals how the television soap "Dallas" and other Western pop-culture staples undermined Communist clout by winning over citizens inside the USSR. Featuring reenactments and archival footage, this film also explores the ingenious methods people devised to pirate the illicit shows being broadcast from Finland, just beyond the Iron Curtain.
