Zalman King adapts Anaïs Nin's novel of the same name in this sensual film about an expatriate, Lawrence (Costas Mandylor), and a struggling American writer, Elena (Audie England), who manage to find each other, and love, in 1939 Paris. As the world sits poised on the brink of war, Elena embarks on her adventure writing erotic fiction and, later, acting out her stories.
