As if the Civil War wasn't bloody enough, director George Hickenlooper has added a phantom army of Confederate and Union zombies to the mix in this film that's simultaneously surreal and sensitive in its treatment of the issues at its core. Corbin Bernsen, Cynda Williams, Adrian Pasdar and Martin Sheen co-star, while Billy Bob Thornton, Matt LeBlanc and David Arquette are featured in early-career performances.
