Borrowing the mockumentary style of "The Office," this droll comedy about municipal workers focuses on Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), a public employee with the Parks and Recreation department in rural Pawnee, Ind. Although Leslie is full of energy and good ideas for community improvement projects, she often finds herself bogged down by bureaucracy, incompetence and municipal laws understood by almost no one.
