Set during the Cuban Revolution, this bittersweet tale centers on Guaguasi (Orestes Matacena), a naïve mountain man who joins the rebels and makes it to Havana just as Batista's dictatorship falls. Amidst the political turmoil, Guaguasi falls in love with gorgeous singer Marina (Marilyn Pupo) and finds himself in the middle of a love triangle in a vibrant city filled with uncertainty, excitement and the promise of a better life.
