While researching a book about the career of late Hollywood screen siren Lorna Love, writers Joel and Donna Gregory (Robert Wagner and Kate Jackson) go to great lengths to immerse themselves in her world, even staying at her estate while they conduct interviews with her friends and acquaintances. But the plot takes a tragic turn when Joel, whose father had been one of Lorna's lovers, begins obsessing about his subject.
