In this gritty Western helmed by Tom Gries, Indian Yaqui Joe Herrera (Burt Reynolds) robs a Phoenix bank to buy rifles for his tribe, which is trying to break free of the oppressive Mexican government. On a mission to bring the crafty Joe to justice, an Arizona lawman (Jim Brown) trails him south of the border, where the two forge an alliance and join the revolt.
