Depression-era radio jokesters Lum (Chester Lauck) and Abner (Norris Goff) transition to the silver screen in this vintage cracker-barrel comedy that finds the rural Arkansas storekeepers raising money to build a mobile hospital. But their plans are interrupted as they play matchmakers to a struggling doctor (Robert Wilcox) and a young beauty (Frances Langford) and later attempt to track down a hit-and-run driver.
